1. On contact tracing - How do you determine how many days back from a positive test to go? For instance, if a teacher or student tested positive on Friday and was in school all week, would you trace back to Monday? I know every situation is unique, but some additional guidance would be appreciated. Guidance from the CDC indicates 48 hours prior to symptoms OR 48 hours prior to the positive test if no symptoms.
2. We have some teachers who can be in any building in the district depending on the day (eval team, for instance). Just as the teachers in a building are informed of a positive case, these teachers would like to have the information if they are going to a building. Is there a way to inform them? We have been sending information to the staff of the schools involved, maybe we can ask these principals to widen their mailing list.
3. So far, teachers are not being told that their students have been directed to quarantine. We are wondering whether there is a way to designate quarantine on the attendance system. There is a way to include quarantine in attendance, we just started using it yesterday. I will make sure all AA are aware that it is available.
4. Yesterday siblings of GHS students who were quarantined were in school at GHS. What is the policy on this?
Siblings of children quarantined ( exposed only but not yet positive/sick) are allowed to come to school, siblings of a positive student are not.
