PR&R Committee

The Professional Rights and Responsibilities Committee is comprised of teachers from all levels of teaching. They ensure that our contract is enforced and advocate for our rights as professionals.

Professional Rights and Responsibilities Committee

Time: Ongoing, Monthly to bi-weekly virtual evening meetings

# of People Needed: 2-3 people from Elementary, Middle School, and High School Levels. 

​

Description: The purposes of the Professional Rights and Responsibilities Committee (PR&R) shall be:

  1. To interpret and implement the CT Code of Professional Responsibilities for Teachers.

  2. To implement the grievance procedure.

  3. To alert the Association to threats of academic freedom and recommend courses of action.

  4. To maintain effective channels of communication with CEA and NEA leadership.

  5. To facilitate contract enforcement.
