The committees under the VP Elementary meet to discuss concerns happening across the 11 elementary schools and the preschools and to find solutions to those problems.
Time: October-June. Once a month either in person or virtual depending on preference.
# of People: Three non executive members to tri-chair the committee (Eastern, Central, and Western) at least one representative from each school with an alternate if possible
Description: The Elementary/ Pre School Committee hopes to help everyone learn all parts of the contract in order to help answer questions that come up throughout the year. We hope to empower Elementary committee members in assisting the GEA Building reps to resolve building issues and work to build positive working relationships within their buildings. Great opportunity for non-tenured and newly-tenured teachers to learn more about professional rights and responsibilities.
